US lawyers seek billions from Toyota

Well, is it just another ambulance chasers making big bucks from other's misfortune or just sincerely exercising their profession try to represent victims to get their fair share of compensation?

Whatever it is? This has to be handled with great care as the outcome of the ramifications and repercussions will be huge.

I read the other days people in the US try to sue Toyota as they see their value of car has plummeted in the last few months due to this debacle. Although I can understand their claim and my sympathy goes to them, I point I'm making is when you buy a car you buy the function of the car. You may pay some premium if the car is manufactured by reliable manufacturer. You may buy it to expect the price of the would not drop significantly when you sell or trade-in the car but this is not part of the deal when you buy the car. This is your expectation that the car will deliver in future. IT IS AN EXPECTATION. Claim should not be made based on expectation which is not an EXPLICIT agreement. If someone has got psychology trauma then it need to be access and make fair compensation but the amount compensated should not hurt the company's existence.
